Assistance to managers
Assistance to managers
It can be challenging at the top, both in the public and private sectors. This is why senior executives sometimes also require legal assistance to manage employment contracts and working conditions. This could involve negotiating the terms of an employment contract, resolving disputes relating to the interpretation of the employment contract or disputes relating to the termination of the employment. Many senior executives have also entered into individual agreements relating to pension schemes, bonus schemes, options, share programmes and other “incentive schemes”. Such agreements often include multiple parties, multiple countries and several legal jurisdictions. The complexity of the contractual framework for senior executives can therefore be considerable. More and more executives are experiencing having been “reported” and require help and assistance in connection with internal or external examinations (“investigations”) relating to this. Being subject to an investigation can be a significant strain and can have major consequences for one’s career and personal life.
The lawyers at Homble Solheim have extensive experience of assisting executives in contract negotiations, both when employment is entered into and when it ends. We have broad experience of dispute resolution relating to the interpretation of employment contracts and associated agreements, including pension and incentive agreements. We have also assisted a number of executives at large Norwegian enterprises who have been subject to investigations.
